Mrs. Emma Nelson Hash, 88, of the Zion Community in Taylor County, daughter of the late Mr. Frankie Nelson and Mrs. Fannie Shofner Nelson, was born in Taylor County, November 11, 1880. She died at the Metzmeier Nursing Home, Wednesday morning, June 18th. She had been a patient there for the past five years. She professed faith in Christ early in life and was a member of the Mt. Carmel Baptist Church. She united in marriage to Mr. James Arthur Hash in 1902. He preceded her in death, December 29, 1961. To this union ten sons and one daughter were born. Surviving are Mrs. Ruth Thompson, Mr. Jim Hash, and Mr. Floyd Hash, all of Campbellsville, Ky; Mr. Hershel Hash of Campbellsville, Route # 4; Mr. Clarence Hash of Louisville; and Mr. Thomas Hash of Indianapolis, Indiana. Besides her children, she is also survived by twenty-five grandchildren; twenty-four great grandchildren; and one sister, Mrs. Elliott " Alice " Huber of Raywick, Ky. Funeral services were conducted Friday Morning, June 20th at the Parrot & Ramsey Funeral Home by Rev. Walter Lay. Burial was in Zion Cemetery. Pallbearers were: Gary Hash, Mike Hash, Gordon Hash, Charles Hash, and Bill Hash, and Donnie Thompson. Daughter of the late Benjamin F. Nelson and Mary Francis
