She was born March 5, 1936, in Ottumwa,Iowa to MALEY and HELEN MEYERS (MYERS IS CORRECT SPELLING) SELLWOOD. She married FRED T. SONGER April 12, 1953.
Surviving are her husband; three sons, STEVEN SONGER of Des Moines,Iowa, and MARK and RANDY SONGER, both of Ottumwa,Iowa; a daughter, TAMMI SONGER of Ottumwa,Iowa; 11 grandchildren; a great-granddaughter; two sisters, MAXINE SONGER and ALICE EATON, both of Ottumwa,Iowa; and brothers, JIM SELLWOOD, MALEY "Junior" SELLWOOD and BOB BENNETT, all of Ottumwa,Iowa.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Thursday, April 25, in Reece Funeral Home with the Rev. Dan Reid officiating. Burial will be in Shaul Cemetery.
Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. Wednesday in the funeral home with the family present from 6 to 8:30 p.m.
Active pallbearers will be Lloyd LITTLE, Larry, Chad and Tracy SONGER, Roy BENNETT Jr. and Charles E. EATON.
Honorary pallbearer will be Ed BENNETT.
