Word was received here early Sunday morning that Harold L. Gillan, 35, had passed away that morning in California following several months of illness which was of a malignant type. Sonny's condition at Christmas time was such that he wanted to come with his family to Oak his native home for a holiday Gillan family reunion. His condition became worse and it was necessary to return to California by airplane. His wife Shirley, sons Dennis and Kirk and small daughter, Sherry are the immediate family who mourn his passing, as also do his mother, Mrs. Pearl Gillan, and two brothers Claude and Jack and sisters Hazel Widener, Ruby Snyder, Adaabelle (sic) Smalley, Darlene Fraka, and Betty Struss. Funeral services were held Thursday in Forrest (sic) Lawn Memorial Garden at Cypress, California.
