Friedrich William Schroeder was the son of Carl Friedrich Schroeder 1844 and Dorothea Ernestine Zimmerman.
His parents immigrated from Germany in 1860, and settled in Rock County, Wisconsin, where Friedrich was born. They moved to Rolling, Langlade, County where they started a homestead in 1879, when Friedirch was 7 years old.
Friedrich married Matie E Knight, the daughter of James Glenn Knight 1848 and Sarah Jane Nutt, on June 15, 1905 in Antigo, Langlade, Wisconsin.
The couple lived in Hutchins, Shawano County, Wisconsin, and in Rolling, Langlade, Wisconsin.
The couple had children: Arthur F 1909, Harold 1913, Russell E 1916, Donald G 1919, Dorothy 1919, and Leon 1921.
