She married W. S. Dameron on 7 Jan 1890 in Moberly, Randolph, Missouri. Per 1892 Randolph County, Missouri, probate records, Nancy C. Dameron was his widow, so that confirms my suspicion that her husband was William Simeon Dameron (1824-1892) whose first wife died 1888.

Relatives here have received word of the death of Mrs. Kate Dameron, 96, a former resident of Randolph County, who before her marriage was Miss Kate McDaniel. Mrs. Dameron's death occurred at the home of a sister, Mrs. Eva Bockin (sic; s/b Bocking), at Fruita, Colo. Mrs. Dameron is survived by two brothers, Melvin McDaniel, Cairo, Mo., and John McDaniel, Florence, Colo., and two sisters, Mrs. Belle Fair, of Independence, Kan., and Mrs. Eva Bockin (sic), Fruita, Colo. Burial was at Florence, Colo.

RITES FOR SISTER OF LOCAL MAN WILL BE HERE SATURDAY
Final rites will be conducted at 2 o'clock here Saturday afternoon for Mrs. Kate Dameron, 94, sister of J. C. McDaniel, who died last night in Fruita, Colo.
The services will be held at the McDaniel residence, 113 West Third street, with the Reverend James R. Burchfield of the Presbyterian church officiating. Burial will be in Union Highland cemetery. A request has been made that no flowers be presented.
Mrs. Dameron succumbed at the home of a sister, Mrs. W. F. Bocking, after a week's serious illness. Death was the result of complications attendant with old age, it was said. She had been in a feeble condition for about the past five years.
Mrs. Dameron had been a resident of Fruita for the past 10 years, moving there from Independence, Kan. She had visited here several times.
Survivors are her brother, J. C. McDaniel of Florence; a sister, Mrs. W. F. Bocking of Fruita; a niece, Mrs. Garth Rumnells of Ordway (sic s/b Runnells); a nephew, C. C. Tedford of Pueblo, and a great-nephew, John Liggett, also of Pueblo.
