I was born in Colorado. When I was a child, Dad had bought part of an original homestead of 160 acres so we moved to the foot hills. There was quite a bit of history that went with it.
There was a lot of exlporing to do, most of it I did on horseback.
I remember long summers of exploring ghost towns and cabins in the woods with their own private burial grounds. Wow I wish I knew then to TAKE A PHOTO!
I have been lucky enough to visit most of the cemeteries where my ancestors lay, as I married a Military man and we were stationed only a state or two away each time.
This time we are stationed in Hawaii, and none of my family history is here, but if I can help anyone by taking a photo of a memorial, I will be more than happy to, and I, dearly, appreciate everyone who does the same.
FOR OUR HEROS AT THE HONOLULU MEMORIAL TABLETS OF THE MISSING / BURIED AT SEA.
Please send me Bio's in an edit - suggest a correction, I will always add them. I hate to see such important information left as a flower that gets hidden after time.
I will be happy to transfer management if they are not my family.
I do take photos of the unmarked plots to fulfill your photo requests, please click on the photo to read the caption when you find what looks like a generic Cemetery photo in place of a marker photo.
