Final Services for Robin A. Bliss Are Held Tuesday
Funeral services for Robin A. Bliss, 58, son of Rev. John Bliss of Princeville, who died Saturday evening following a long illness, were conducted at the First Methodist church in Peoria at 2:30 p. m. Tuesday by Dr. William T. Smith, pastor. Interment was in Parkview cemetery.
A son of John F. and Dora Bobrer Bliss, he was born November 24, 1889, at Princeville. He was married to LeVada Shane at Princeville on November 22, 1911. Mr. Bliss has resided in Peoria since 1915.
He was employed by Block and Kuhl from 1916 to 1943, when he left to begin his own realty business. He was a member of The First Methodist church, the Peoria Masonic lodge; chapter 7 Knight Templar, the Mohammed Shrine, the Union Grove chapter of the Order of Eastern Star of Princeville, Mt. Hawley Country club and Creve Coeur club. Mr. Bliss was a member of the realty firm of Nugent and Bliss.
Surviving are his wife; one son Dr. Ted Bliss, Peoria; his father, Rev. John Bliss, Princeville; one brother Lewis Bliss, Sanheandro, Calif.; one half sister, Mrs. Eloise Graves, Wyoming; three half brothers, Palmer, Peoria; Marvin, Princeville and Earl of Brimfield. One brother Fred preceded him in death.
