Princeville, IL - Franklin Palmer Bliss of Plano, Texas, formerly of Princeville, Ill., passed away at age 93 on Tuesday, June 3, 2008, in Plano, Texas.

He was born March 24, 1915, in Princeville, Ill.

Palmer was preceded in death by his wife of 68 years, Dorothy.

He is survived by his sister, Eloise Graves; son, Tom Bliss and wife, Sharon; son, Tim Bliss and wife, Nancy; and daughter, Laurel Faughn and husband, Jim. He is also survived by grandchildren, Cortney, Mandy, Rachel, Brady, Daniel and Hannah; step grandchildren, Ashley and Justin; and eight great-grandchildren.

Palmer was a graduate of Bradley University, where he was a member of the Sigma Phi Fraternity. He was also a member of the April Sound Church in Montgomery, Texas.

He was known for his friendly, unique sense of humor and his loyalty to his family, friends and former classmates. He was a devoted son, brother, father, husband, grandfather and great-grandfather and will be dearly missed.

Services will be at a later date in Conroe, Texas.
