My mom was Eleanor Bebensee Bosch. Adele was my maternal grand-mother. All of Adele's children stayed in the Brookings or Elkton, SD area. So all of the cousins grew up and spent a lot of time together. Most weekends found all of the families converging on the farm outside of Elkton. As children that were sent outside because the house was so small...we spent a lot of time getting into trouble. We ran in a pack and had fun doing whatever we could do to keep ourselves busy. Adele was a stern woman that ran the house....but if you asked her she'd tell you that Grandpa ran it!! Her religion was near and dear to her heart. She suffered from breast cancer at about the age of 50. As all of the cousins got older, many moved away. I continued to live in Brookings so I would visit as often as I could. During her last weeks I spent a lot of time with her. Until those last few weeks she was alert and continued to play the games she always enjoyed.
