Find A Grave has been a great way for me to pursue my goals as a family historian. It is much more than just a record of where folks are buried with the feature to link family members and essentially build a family tree for all other family members to view and appreciate.
As I visit cemeteries I try to take as many photos as possible to post to existing memorials or to add to new memorials where needed.
