Eliza Ann Woodman was born in Cleveland, Cuyahoga County, Ohio, the daughter of Robert Alfred Woodman and Lucretia Jessie Southby Woodman. She married Jacob Sieber in Ohio on October 15, 1889. They were the parents of two known children: Clarence Arthur Sieber, born in Ohio, and Gladys Violet Sieber, born in California. The Siebers were in the 1900 US Census in Ohio, and in Riverside, California by the 1910 Census. The Riverside Directories show that Eliza was a dressmaker and Jacob worked in the Iron Works factory. Clarence was later listed as a worker in the same factory. Sometime between 1917 and 1918, Jacob left Riverside and Eliza behind. They were divorced by the 1920 Census when Eliza listed herself as D, or divorced. She never remarried.
