Esther Kathrina Anna Herpolsheimer, the daughter of Frank F. Schlichtemeier and Hannah Shultz Schlichtemeier, was born on a farm near Kramer in Lancaster County, April 8, 1905. She died Friday, February 19 at the age of 82.

In May 1905 she was baptized by Rev. Lohr and on April 19, 1919, she was confirmed at St. John's Lutheran Church of Kramer by Rev. John Gerike. After her marriage she joined Trinity Lutheran Church in Lincoln.

She was preceded in death by two daughters, Shirley Leinberger and Donna Massengill; three sisters, Irma Reiss, Velma Schachenmeyer, and Gertrude Meinke; and two brothers, Ernest and Harold Schlichtemeier.

She is survived by a son, Charles Herpolsheimer; one brother Melvin Schlichtemeier; nine grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

Services were held in Trinity Lutheran Church in Lincoln by Pastor Ondov on February 22. Burial was in Lincoln Memorial Park.

Pallbearers were Larry Larsen, Randy Brolhorst, Larry Schachenmeyer, Lawrence Ourecky, Delbert Reiss, and Richard Reiss.
