PETER BOUMA DIES AFTER LONG ILLNESS
Peter Bouma, 60, of the Holland settlement, died of a lingering illness, Friday afternoon, December 4, at the home of Mrs. Lucy Pike on West Lamme Street, where he had been under special care for about three weeks. Funeral services will be held at the Holland church, Wednesday afternoon at two o'clock, and burial will be in the Church Hill cemetery.
He was born in Holland, September 24, 1871, and came to the Holland settlement in the Gallatin valley in 1905, engaging in farming. He is survived by his widow and by one daughter and three sons: Mrs. Fannie Blanksma of the Holland settlement; Louie Bouma of Corsica, South Dakota; Herman and John Bouma at the home ranch. One brother, John Bouma, lives at Lyndon, Washington; Cornelius, a brother, lives at Conrad, Montana, while two brothers and two sisters are in Holland.
