He was born in American, Ohio, to Aaron Newton Peters and Effie Catherine Miller Peters and was a former resident of Pratt.
He is survived by his children, Terry Peters of Portland, Ore., Robert Peters of Bradenton, Fla., Lyle Rockefeller of Canandaigua, N.Y., and Darold Peters of Wichita; sister, Martha Ladd of Ohio; 12 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents Newton and Effie Peters; brother, Denton Peters; and sisters, Mary Denton, Edith Boyd and Gladys Angle.
Visitation is from 5-7 p.m. Thursday. Funeral service is at 10 a.m. Friday, Sept. 2, both at Baker Funeral Home, Valley Center. Burial following the service at Kechi Township Cemetery, 6523 N. Hillside, Wichita.
