Mrs. Effie C. Peters

ELIDA - Mrs. Effie C. Peters, 73, Rt. 3, Elida, died at 5:50 p.m. Sunday following a 10-month illness.

She was born in Allen County May 7, 1888 and married A. Newton Peters, 50 years ago. He survives.

Surviving also are two sons, W. Denton and Leland F. Peters of Rt. 3, Elida; four sisters, Mrs. Mary Deaton of Lewisburg, Mrs. Martha Ladd of Englewood, Mrs. Edith Boyd of Rossville, Ind., and Mrs. Gladys Angle of Rocky Mount, Va.; 26 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

She was a member of the Ash Grove German Baptist Church.

The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Allen County Cancer Society.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday in Ash Grove German Baptist Church.

Burial will be in Ash Grove Cemetery.

Friends may call at Chiles and Sons - Laman Funeral Home from 1 p.m. Tuesday until 4 p.m. Wednesday, when the body will be taken to the residence.
