Martha Elizabeth (Peters) Ladd, age 98 of Brookville, passed away on Thursday, May 1, 2014. She was a member of the Stillwater Old German Baptist Brethren Church, New Conference. She is survived by her daughter: Joanne Skiles of Brookville, sons and daughters-in-law: Larry Ladd of Vandalia, Eldon and Marilyn Ladd of WA, Carol Ladd of Clayton, 6 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, 1 great-great granddaughter, half brothers-in-law: Chester Good of Elida, Dave and Janet Good of Elida, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years: Harold Ladd, parents: Aaron Newton and Effie Catherine (Miller) Peters, 3 sisters and 2 brothers. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, May 7, 2014 at the Ash Grove Old German Baptist Brethren Church (N. Cable Road, Lima). The family will receive friends on Tuesday, from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. and from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Kindred Funeral Home (400 Union Blvd., Englewood) and on Wednesday, from 9:30 a.m. until time of services at the church. Interment will follow the service at Ash Grove Old German Baptist Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Dayton or Brookhaven Care & Share.
