Michael Loutsch, 76. a Plymouth county native, died Thursday, September 11,1975 at Happy Siesta Retirement home in Remsen after an illness of one year.

Mr. Loutsch was a retired farmer and lifelong Le Mars area resident. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic church in Remsen.

He was born November 23,1898 at Remsen to John and Susan (Hansen) Loutsch.

His marriage to Clara Pletschette took place February
10,1926 in Oyens.

Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. Monday at St.Mary's Catholic Church in Remsen with Rev. Nicholas
Ruba, Sioux City, officiating. Burial was in St. Mary's cemetery under the direction of Fisch funeral home, Remsen.

Prayer services for Mr. Loutsch were held at 3 and 8 p. m. Sunday.

Survivors are his wife; four sons: Nicholas and Arnold of Sioux City: James of Cedar Rapids: and Marvin of Le Mars; three daughters: Mrs. Farrell (Mary Jane) Marsh of LeMars; Mrs. Larry (Carol) Shimitz and Mrs. Marion (Marlene) Pinney, both of Sioux City; 28 grandchildren; a brother,
Emil of Remsen; and a sister, Mrs. Nick (Kate) Ruba, Remsen.

Mr. Loutsch was preceded in death by a daughter, Elaine M. Loutsch (5 Aug 1930 to 23 Dec 1930); four brothers: Andrew (1881-1898), Dominic (1892-1972), John (1896-1948) and Andrew John (1900-1961) and three sisters: Mrs. John Peter (Mary Susan) Schroeder (1883-1968), Mrs. William (Anna) Conrad (1887-1933), and Mrs. John (Margaret) Ritz (1890-1929).
