Born Sept. 22, 1911 in Denton, she is the daughter of the late Amos Brumley and Della James Brumley.
She was also preceded in death by one daughter, Janey Ham; one granddaughter, Camillia Burge; two sisters, Pearl Jarred and Edna Bradley; and five brothers, Larry, Golder, Claude, Clarence and Andrew Brumley.
Gaither was united in marriage to Otha King, whom preceded her in death.
She was a homemaker and a member of the Denton Assembly of God Church.
Mrs. King leaves one son, Ralph and June King, of St. Peters, Mo.; One son-in-law, Calvin Ham, of Steele; Five grandchildren: Twila Payne, Darrell King, Laura Graf, Derek Ham and Adam Ham; Fourteen great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services for Mrs. King were held at 10 a.m. Thursday, June 23, at the Powell Funeral Home Chapel in Steele with Rev. Azariah Jeyakumar officiating.
Burial was at the Mt. Zion Cemetery in Steele.
Pallbearers were Darrell King, Derek Ham, Gary Jarred, Dallas Jarred, Adam Ham and Ken Graft.
