Funeral services were held Wednesday, October 24, 1979 at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of German-Aumon Funeral Home for Andrew L. Brumley, 70, a former resident of Denton. Mr. Brumley was born March 9, 1909 at Blytheville, Ark., and died October 21, 1979 in St. Elizabeth Hospital, Granite City, Ill. He was a retired employee of General Motors of St. Louis, Mo.

He leaves his wife, Viola Brumley, of Granite City, Illinois; one daughter, Judith Basaricah of Granite City; three sisters, Pearl Jarred and Gaither King of Steele and Edna Bradley of Dyersburg, Tenn.; two brothers: Claude Brumley of Steele and Larry Brumley of Los Angeles, Calif.; and three grandchildren, all of Granite City.

He was a veteran of World War II.

Burial was in Mount Zion Cemetery with German-Aumon Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Pallbearers were Lesper Jarred, Leroy Jarred, Ralph King, James Mays, Ronnie Bradley, and Max Bradley.
