Cyril Seymour Godfrey, 75, of Fielding, Utah, died Saturday, July 14, 1979, at a Logan, Utah, Hospital of a heart attack.

Cyril was born on February 11, 1904, in Clarkston, Utah, a son of George and Elisa Pack Godfrey. He was raised and educated in the Bear River Valley and attended Bear River High School.

He married Lucille Jessop on November 1, 1940 in Ogden, Utah, their marriage was later solemnized in the Logan LDS Temple.

He was a farmer. He had worked at Utah-Idaho Sugar Company and as custodian at Bear River High School and Bear River Junior High for 12 years.

He was an elder in the Fielding LDS Ward and had formerly served as YMMIA Secretary and as a Home Teacher.

Surviving are his widow, Fielding, Utah; one daughter and one son: Lana Godfrey, Fielding, Utah; Lester Godfrey, Lancaster, California; one grandson; two brothers and three sisters: Brigham Godfrey, Clarkston, Utah; Mrs Ettie Thompson, Clarkston, Utah; William Godfrey, Preston, Idaho; Mrs Nettie Lott, Bothwell, Utah; Mrs Elmo (Flo) Munson, Fielding, Utah.

Burial was in the Fielding City Cemetery, Fielding, Utah.
