Lucille Jessop Godfrey, 66, of Fielding, Utah, died Saturday, August 11, 1979, at her home of a heart ailment.

She was born on October 20, 1912, in Montpelier, Idaho, a daughter of Lester Russell and Carried Anderson Jessop.
She spent her early life in Millville, Utah and attended Cache County Schools.

She married Cyril Godfrey on November 1, 1940 in Ogden, Utah, their marriage was later solemnized in the Logan LDS Temple.

She was a member of the Fielding LDS Ward and had served as Primary and Sunday School Teachers and Coordinator of the Junior Sunday School, she had been a member of the Primary Stake Board.

She was a cook at Fielding Elementary School for 18 years.

Surviving are one daughter, Lana Godfrey, Fielding, Utah and one son, Lester G Godfrey, California; and one grandchild. Also surviving are three brothers and five sisters: Sheldon Jessop, Paradise, Utah; Don Jessop, Millville, Utah; Calvin Jessop, Hyrum, Utah; Mrs Glen (Afton) Udy, Fielding, Utah; Mrs Therrin (Fern) Scott, Logan, Utah; Mrs Glen (Ione) Jessop, Murray, Utah; Mrs Theil (Virginia) Jenson, Millville, Utah; Mrs Delbert (Dixie) Olsen, College Ward, Utah.

Burial was in the Fielding City Cemetery, Fielding, Utah.
