Beatrice Godfrey Woolley, 61, died Friday morning in a Logan Hospital after a sudden illness.

She was born on February 13, 1901 in Clarkston, Utah, a daughter of George and Eliza Pack Godfrey. Her early childhood was spent in Clarkston, Utah, she moved with the family to Fielding when she was nine years old.

An active member of the LDS Church, she had worked in both Primary and MIA in the Fielding Ward.

She had been assistant postmaster in Fielding, 15 years prior to her official appointment as postmaster 18 years ago.

She married Mark E Wood on June 5, 1947 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. They have made Fielding their home since that time.

Surviving are her husband, Fielding, Utah; four step-sons and step-daughters: Keith Woolley, Farmington, Utah; Mrs Cy (Mary) Larsen, Missoula, Montana; Mrs Neil (Coleen) Frandson, Fresno, California; and Vaun Woolley, Salt Lake City, Utah; also 11 grandchildren; and 12 brothers and sisters: Orson Godfrey, Lehi, Utah; Hyrum and Cyril Godfrey, Mrs Nettie Lott and Mrs Florence Munson, Fielding, Utah; Asael and Albert Godfrey, Ogden, Utah; William Godfrey, Preston, Idaho; Reuben Godfrey, Soda Springs, Idaho; Brigham and Mrs Ettie Thompson, Clarkston, Utah and Mrs Esther Osguthope, Midvale, Utah.

Burial was held in the Fielding City Cemetery, Fielding, Utah.
