Joseph Denton, 64, Pana Native Dies In Arizona, Burial In Oconee
Joseph Carrol Denton, 64, of Casa Grande, AZ, a native of Pana, died at 8:30 a.m., Tuesday, Sept. 30,1997 in his home.
Services will be 4:00 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 11 in McCracken Funeral Home. The Rev. Kenneth Morell will officiate with burial in Price Cemetery, Oconee. Visitation is from 2:00 p.m. until the hour of service on Saturday. Memorials may be made to United Pentecostal First Born Church in Rockford.
Mr. Denton was born Mar. 23, 1933 in Pana, the son of Lewis and Emaline Burrus Denton. He has lived in Arizona for 20 years. He was a chef by profession and affili­ated with United Pentecostal Church. He and his wife, Iva May Beck, are divorced.
Survivors include a son, Rick Denton of Rockford; daughter, Debra Featherston of Byron; brothers, Floyd Den­ton of Casa Grande, the Rev. Orville Denton of Pana; sis­ters, Kelsey Fatheree of Beecher City and Myrtle Sims of Pana; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and special friend, Lucille Nash of Casa Grande.
Brothers, Harold and Otis Denton and sister, Nellie Henderson, preceded him in death.
