Mr. Denton was born June 6, 1915 in Herrick, Ill. A Navy veteran of World War II, he was an operating engineer before retirement. He was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1677 and Disabled American Veterans.
Survivors include his wife, Catheryn F.; a daughter, Shirley Nash of Casa Grande; two sisters, Kelsey Fatheree
of Beecher City, Ill., and Myrtle Sims of Pana, Ill.; a brother, Rev. Orville of Pana; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Graveside services were held at 10:00 a.m., today, Monday, Dec. 17 in National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona in Cave Creek, Ariz. Prayer service was by pastor Scott Bailey.
Visitation was held from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m., Friday, Dec. 14 in Cole & Maud Mortuary.

Mrs. Denton was born in Herrick. Her husband Floyd F. Denton preceded her in death. She was a member of Bethel Baptist Church in Hopi Hills.
Surviving is a daughter, Shirley Nash of Casa Grande, Ariz.; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a sister and seven brothers.
