Miss Emaline Denning, 20, an employee of the Amagamated (Amalgamated) Sugar company died at her home, 1023 Twenty-third street at 6 a.m. today of pneumonia, after an illness of two weeks. She was born at Iona, Idaho, December 20, 1902, the daughter of James H. and Emma Squires Denning.
Miss Denning was employed as bookkeeper and stenographer in the accounting department of the Ogden office of the Amalgamated Sugar company, accepting the position Jun 19, 1921. Prior to coming to Ogden she was employed in the branch office of the Almagamated (Amalgamated) Sugar company at Idaho Falls, Idaho.
Vice President E. S. Rolapp and other officers of the sugar company said today that she was one of the most competent employees of the company.
She was active in church work in the Thirteenth ward and was also an active worker in the choir of that ward.
She is survived by her mother, her stepfather, W. F. Smith, one brother, Jeddie, Iona, Idaho, and the following sisters; Mrs. M. A. Duncan of St. George; Mrs Ester Scott of Ririe, Idaho; Mrs. Harriet Robinson, Pocatello, Idaho; and Myrtle, Lucy, Olive, Clara, Pearl, Echo and Rachel Denning, all of Ogden.
The funeral arrangements will be in charge of Larkin and sons. Announcement of the funeral will be made later.
