Echo Denning Wilson
BOUNTIFUL — Mrs. Echo Denning Wilson, 76, formerly of Ogden, died Sunday, Nov. 3, 1985, at Bountiful following a stroke. She was born June 26, 1909, in Iona, Idaho, a daughter of James Henry and Emma Jane Celestia Squires Denning. She married George Junius Wilson Aug. 22, 1938, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He died Sept. 18, 1969.
She was a graduate of Ogden High School and Weber College. She had a lifelong enjoyment of music and teaching. She taught piano and organ for 51 years. She was active in community affairs, and was the first woman to solo an airplane in Ogden. She was a former secretary to the state legislature, and was voting registrar for many years. She was a member of the Daughters of Utah Pioneers, and was active in the LDS Church auxiliary organizations and worked in the LDS temples. She was a member of the Orchard LDS 2nd Ward.
Surviving are two sons and one daughter, George Richard Wilson, Bountiful; L. Val Wilson, and Mrs. Alma J. (Lauralee) Rigby, both of North Salt Lake;
13 grandchildren. Also surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Clara Wheeler, Bountiful; and Mrs. Robert (Rachel) Prout, Sunset. She was preceded in dsath by a daughter. Funeral services will be Wednesday at noon in the Orchard LDS 2nd Ward Chapel, 3707 S. 800 West, Bountiful. Friends may call at the Russon Brothers Bountiful Mortuary, 295 N. Main, tonight from 6 to 8 and Wednesday at the church from 10:45 to 11:45 a.m. Burial in the Bountiful City Cemetery.
