The body of Jeddie Squires Denning, 54, is expected to arrive Friday from Seattle, Wash., accompanied by his widow and two sons, Clair and Marvin Denning, both of the U.S. navy. The body will be taken to the residence of his mother, Mrs. Emma Squires Denning, 1072 Twenty-fourth. Mr. Denning died Monday at eight-thirty a.m. in a Seattle hospital.
Funeral services will be conducted in the L.D.S. Thirteenth ward, 1000 Twenty-third, at one p.m. Saturday, by Bishop J. Ray Williams.
Mr. Denning was born in Afton, Wyo., Aug. 18, 1890, a son of James Henry and Emma Squires Denning. He received his early education in Idaho schools. On Sept. 12, 1911, he married Cornelia M. Moss in the L.D.S. St. George Temple. He was an elder in the church. He and family resided in Idaho until they moved to Ogden where they resided about five years. They later moved to Seattle where he was employed as a mechanic in a shipyard.
Survivors inlude his widow; seven sons, Dow, David, Rulon, Jay and Garry Denning, Seattle Wash.; Marvin R. and Clair M. in the U.S. navy; three daughters, Mrs. George Popham, Missoula, Mont.; Mrs. Robert N. Niell, Tacoma, Wash., and Mona Denning, Seattle; his mother, Mrs. Emma Squires Denning, 1072 Twenty-fourth, Ogden; 10 sisters, Mrs. J.W. Duncan, La Verkin, Utah; Myrtle and Lucy Denning, Mrs. R.G. Prout, Ogden; Mrs. S.R. Scott and Mrs. Olive Williams, Ririe, Ida.; Mrs. A. Glen Wheeler, Salt Lake City; Mrs. Joseph J. Barron, Jr., Midvale, Utah, and Mrs. George J. Wilson, Woods Cross.
His half brothers and sisters live in Idaho.
