James Cleary honored and respected citizen of the Paxton community for the past thirty-seven years passed away this morning at 4 o'clock at his home three and a half miles south of the city following an illness of the pas t two years from creeping paralysis.
Mrs. Cleary passed away about twenty years ago and the children who are left are Alice, Paul and Florence who reside at home. One daughterOne daughter Agnes preceded her father in death several years ago. Mr. Cleary is also mourned by the following brothers and sisters:William of Paxton; Edward of Ludlow; Mrs. Sally (Paul) Huget, Mrs. Molly (Rich) Corbett and Mrs. Bessie (ED) Head of Ludlow; John T., Lucy, Mrs. Kate (Martin) Stack of El Paso, IL and Mrs. Nellie (J. E.) Alexander of Ness City, KS and Patrick of Gridley, IL.
The deceased was born and raised at El Paso, IL and came to the Paxton community thirty-seven years ago. He has been engaged in frarming for the greater part of his life and is known to his neighbors and friends as a man of exceptional qualities. his death has brought genuine sorrow into the community.
The funeral wervices were held on Monday at 9 am at St Mary's Catholic Church in Paxton of which the deceased was a prominent member.
