Last Saturday morning at 10:30 o'clock from St Mary's Catholic Church in El Paso, IL, was held the funeral of Michael Cleary, whose death was chornicaled in these columns last week. In all twelve childre were orn to Mr. and Mrs Cleary, eleven of whom with the mother survive. One daughter, Mrs Bridget (James) Frawley died in 1902 near Cooksiville. The living children are John and Patrick of El Paso; William, James, Edward, Mrs Sarah Molly (Rich) Corbitt and Mrs Sarah Sally (Paul) Huguet of Ludlow, IL; Mrs. Bessie (Ed) Head of Padua; Mrs Nellie (James) Alexander of Oklahoma; Mrs. Kate (Martin) Stack and Miss Lucy at home. Mr Cleary also leaves forty-four granchildren.
A long cortege of relatives and friends followed the remains to the cemetery. The pall bearers were six nephews of the deceased; John and James Kennedy, John and Charles Penn, John and James Cleary.
Those from abroad who attended the services were Mr and Mrs. Clement Penn; Mr and Mrs John Penn; Mr. and Mrs. Charles Penn; and Mr and Mrs Wm. Blair of Bloomington; James Kennedy and son of Peoria; John Kennedy of Loda, IL; Mrs. Anna Spencer, Mrs Bridget Blair, Mrs Mary Evans, Miss Alta Hapt, Mrs Edward Sacry; James, Margaret, Roy, Delmar and John Frawley; John and George Blair, Phil and Stepen Evans, Mrs and Mrs. John Morrisy, and Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Evans, of Merna; Miss Margaret Griffen and James Kirk of Paxton.
