She was married to John Sickels about sixty years ago, and they came to Steuben county at a very early date, locating just east of Metz.
To this union were born nine children, six of whom survive her. Her husband died about eleven years ago.
Mrs. Sickels was an excellent lady, kind and generous, and a devoted member of the U.B. Church of Metz where the funeral services were held, conducted by her pastor, Rev. Baldwin. Burial was in Mount Pleasant Cemetery.
