Catherine A. Terpening, a daughter of John and Lydia Sickles, was born in Steuben county, Ind., Dec. 6, 1844 and died in Morenci, Mich., Nov. 14, 1918. Nov. 17, 1878 she was married to William H. Terpening, who survives her.

Mrs. Terpening was a lifelong member of the Methodist Episcopal Church of Wauseon, Ohio.

Besides her husband, she leaves one sister, Mrs. A.J. Shafer of Tyler, Fla.; and three brothers, Jacob, John, and Nathan Sickles of Angola, Ind. Burial was in Canandaigua Cemetery, Lenawee county, Mich.
