Mrs. Elnora Terpening, 82, of the Argyle Block, Bucyrus, died Monday night after being in failing health for some time.
A native of Indiana, Mrs. Terpening was born Feb. 22, 1858, the daughter of John and Lydia (Fisher) Sickles. She had lived most of her life here.
She was first married to A. J. Shaffer; her second husband, William T. Terpening died ten years ago.
Mrs. Terpening had two children by her first marriage. They were Mrs. O.E. Neeley and Mrs. Pearl Sutton Hopley, who died nine years ago.
She is survived by a grandson, James Neely; a granddaughter, Mrs. Jackson Betts; and a great-granddaughter, Nancy Lou Betts, all of Findley. Mrs. Terpening was the last of a family of six children.
Funeral services will be held at 2 o’clock Thursday afternoon in the First United Brethren Church of which she was a member. The pastor, Rev. L.E. Ames will officiate and interment will be in Maple Grove Cemetery.
