Amy was apparently born about 1771 (or possibly late 1770) based on her age at death as reported on her gravestone (which states that she died in her 87th year toward the end of 1857). She was the daughter of John Watson and Patience Madlock, residents of Woolwich Twp., Gloucester Co., NJ, and is presumed to have been born there. Given that her obituary states that she died in her 83rd year, it is possible that she was actually born as late as 1775. While this may appear problematic with regard to her first daughter Rebecca's birth (in 1789, IF her gravestone inscription is accurate), there is good reason to think that Rebecca was really born in 1791 (see that memorial for further explanation).

Amy married John Jackson on 29 Mar. 1790 at Swedesboro, Gloucester Co. She is presumed to have died in Franklin Twp., Gloucester Co., where she was residing in 1850 with her daughter Permelia Coombs.
