Charlotte was born about 1810, the daughter of John Jackson and Amy Watson. She was possibly the mother of Joseph Jackson (1828-1907), who is named as a grandson in her father's will (and apparently lived in her parents' household).
She married Jesse Hoffman Jr. on 18 Aug. 1831 in Cumberland Co., NJ. They had at least eight children, as follows:
