Young Samuel was just a toddler when his father died. Both Samuel and his brother Thomas 'Frank' Poor stayed behind in Indiana.They went to live in Jackson Twp, Wells Co IN where his sister Laura (Poor) Perfect and sister Anna (Poor) Mason were living at the time (before they moved on to Butte, MT). His brother 'Frank' died in Wells Co IN and was buried in Batson Cemetery but burial location for Samuel N. Poor has not been ascertained. Samuel N. Poor died at age 18. He may also have been buried in Batson Cemetery but the cemetery has many unidentified markers on the ground.
