JENNIE BOWEN
---Jennie Herington was born October 28, 1864 near Hazel Dell, Knox County, Missouri, and died at the home of her son near Bird City, Kansas on February 3, 1923, aged fifty-eight years, three months and five days.
---She was united in marriage with C.W. Bowen on March 16, 1882. There were born to this union two sons and three daughters, four of whom survive, and an infant son who died September 8, 1892.
---She leaves to mourn her departure, three daughters and one son as follows: Mrs. C.A. Salyers of Hazel Dell, Mrs. O.P. Perry of Novelty, Mrs. L.M. Crawford of Hazel Dell and H.H. Bowen of Bird City, Kansas, together with many other relatives and friends.
---Deceased was a devoted wife and mother and an honored member of the Hazel Dell fellowship and died in the triumph of a Christian's faith.
---Her funeral was conducted by her pastor, Elder, E.E. Morrison from the Hazel Dell Church, assisted by Elder Shoemaker of Novelty on the afternoon of February 6th and her mortal body laid to rest in the Bowen cemetery, pending the second coming of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
