NORA I. SALYER
---Nora I. Bowen, daughter of C.W. and Jennie Bowen, was born in Knox County, Missouri on February 5, 1883.
---She was married to C. A. Salyer on February 18, 1900. She spent all her life in Knox County with the exception for thirteen years which was spent in Macon county.
---She had been in failing health for the past two years and was taken to the Grim-Smith Hospital in Kirksville on October 29 and she died November 9, 1945.
---She united with the Hazel Dell Christian Church in Knox County in 1910 under the preaching of Rev. J.R. Robertson and always remained true to her church the remaining thirty-five years of her life.
---She leaves to mourn her passing, the beloved husband, two sisters, Mrs. O. P. Perry of Novelty, Missouri and Mrs. L.M. Crawford of La Plata, Missouri; one brother, Harvey Bowen of Everton, Oklahoma; five nieces and seventeen nephews and one aged aunt, Mrs. Henry Smith of Kirksville and a host of other relatives and friends.
---Funeral services were conducted at the La Plata Christian Church on November 11, at 1:30 P.M. by Rev. E.Y. Kelter of Jefferson City, Missouri under the direction of the Christie Funeral Home. Burial was in the La Plata cemetery.
