PAUL D. SCHRECK

Paul D. Schreck, son of William and Wilhelmina Schreck, was born in Benton township, Lucas county, Iowa, July 9, 1869. He was the last of a family of eight children. He passed away October 10, 1958, at his home.

On Sept. 27, 1892, he was united in marriage to Elizabeth Ripper at Corydon. They made their home on a farm near Corydon for seven years. In 1899, they moved to a farm east of Chariton. In 1944, they left the farm and moved to Chariton, where they resided until the time of his death.

Two sons were born into this family, John W. Schreck, who now lives on a farm east of Chariton, and Leonard Schreck, who passed away at Corydon, Aug. 28, 1897, at the age of three.

He united with the First Evangelical church in September, 1918.

He leaves to mourn, his wife, Elizabeth, son and daughter-in-law, John W. and Della, and one grandson, Eddie.

Funeral services were held at 1 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 12, at the Miley chapel, with the Rev. Lester Carlson officiating. Burial was in the Chariton cemetery.
