Frakes was killed about 10:15 o'clock last night when his car struck a bridge over Rock Creek ----.

—Mr Frakes was born in Grand Pass, Mo., and came to Independence 18 years ago from Marshall, MO. He was an employee of the Kansas City Transit company and was a member of the Amalgamated Transit union, local No. 1287. He was a member of the First Christian Church of Independence.

He leaves his wife; a daughter, Gina Marie Frakes, of the home; two brothers, Aron Frakes, North Charleston, S. C., and Charles Frakes Mobile, Ala.; and three sisters, Mrs Marie Her, St Louis, ad Mrs. Rose McComber and Mrs. Daisy Morrow, both of Marshall.

Services will be at 10 o'clock Wednesday at the Carson Chapel, Independence; graveside services at 1:30 o'clock at the Armstrong Cemetery, Rushville, Mo. Friends may call from 7 to 9 o'clock Tuesday night at the chapel.
