George was only six when his parents moved from Pennsylvania to Kansas. He grew up on the family farm near Wichita, and married Olive Martin in 1909. He farmed his own land in Kansas and Oklahoma through the following years. He and Olive had four children. Descendants live in the Phoenix, AZ, area today.
