Anthony Albert Hofmann was born to Frank and Gertrude (Ohmann) Hofmann on December 12th, 1927 in Albany MN. He served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War, and then attended St. John's University in Collegeville, MN.
He was married to Marilyn Sobkoviak at St. Mary's Cathedral in St. Cloud, MN on September 12th, 1959. To this marriage were born three children. Anthony retired from the Burlington Northern Railway in 1987.
He enjoyed playing football in his younger days for the Air Force and St. Johns University, as well as watching it through out the years. He also enjoyed playing golf and going fishing. He, however, is most remembered for his strong faith in God, which showed itself in the unending patient and gentle love for his family.
He is survived by his wife, Marilyn Hofmann of Sartell, MN, his daughters, Karen (Eric) Gehrke of Sauk Rapids, MN, Jacqueline (Nicholas) Kacures of Tofte, MN, Pamela Jones of Monticello, MN, as well as grandchildren Zoe Kay Kacures, Amber Dawn Jones, Erika Joy Jones, Samantha Joann Stueve, and Nikol May Jones, his brother Robert, and four sisters Mary Anne, Helen, Clara, and Lola.
Anthony was preceded in death by his parents, five brothers, Joseph, Vernon, Victor, Larry, and Patrick, and three sisters, Monica, Florence, and Jane.
