Gertrude M. Hofmann, 92, died Monday at St. Benedict's Center, St. Cloud.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Seven Dolors Catholic Church. The Rev. Corwin Collins will officiate. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
Friends may call from 4 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Brenny Funeral Home. St. Mathilda's Mission Group will pray at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home in Albany followed by Christian Mothers at 7:30, parish prayers at 8 and American Legion Auxiliary at 8:30.
Gertrude Hofmann was born March 14, 1896, in Albany to John and Gertrude [Prezern] Ohmann. She married Frank Hofmann June 5, 1916, in Albany. She was a Gold Star Mother, member of Albany American Legion Auxiliary, St. Benedict's Oblate Society, St. Mathilda Mission Group and Seven Dolors Catholic Church.
Survivors include sons and daughters, Victor, Columbia, S.C.; Robert, Cottage Grove; Anthony, St. Cloud; Pat, Little Falls; Mrs. Marty [Helen] Crowe, Eau Claire, Wis.; Mrs. Norbert [Monica] Schmidt, Melrose; Mrs. Virgil [Lola] Hemker, Freeport; Mrs. Frank [Florence] Pietraszewski, Rush City; Mrs. Lloyd [Clara] Baggenstross, Atlantic, Iowa; Mrs. Mary Ann St. Arnault, Littleton, Colo.; Jane Hogan, Lawrence, Kan.; 67 grandchildren; 80 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; sisters and brothers, Mrs. Mathilda Burns and Steve, St. Cloud; Mrs. Frances Schultenover, Sartell; and George, St. Augusta.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband June 25, 1949; sons, Joseph, Larry and Vernon; three sisters; and four brothers.
Pallbearers will be grandsons.
