Mr. Maxwell, a native of Putnam County, died Wednesday April 14, 1982 in Cookeville General Hospital following an extended illness. He was the son of the late A. W. and America Avo Worley Maxwell and a retired factory worker.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Julie Daniels Maxwell of Cookeville; 2 sons, Richard Maxwell of Flat Rock, MI, and Garry Maxwell of Los Angeles, CA; 6 sisters, Mrs. Myrtle Fliss of Rochester, MI Mrs. Odell Grider of Hazel Park, MI, Mrs. Maud Purvis of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, Mrs. Effie Lou Ray of Vero Beach, FL, and Mrs. Ella Mae Burgess and Mrs. Mabel Buskirk of Cookeville; 5 brothers, Tom Maxwell of Sparta, Lillard and Lloyd Maxwell both of Cookeville, Hooper Maxwell of Fairfield Glade and Claiborn Maxwell of Sparta; 3 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
