Mrs. Ella Ruth May Parsons, 86, passed away Saturday, July 10, 2010 at North Mississippi Medical Center-Eupora in Eupora, MS. Visitation was held Monday,July 12,2010 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at the funeral home. Mrs.Parsons lay in state at the church from 10:00 am until 11:00 am.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, July 13,2010, 11:00 am, at Milligan Springs Baptist Church. Rev. Harvey Overstreet, Rev.Doyle Cummings,and Rev.Walter Yeager officiated. Internment was at Milligan Springs Cemetery at Montgomery County.
Mrs.Parsons born at Webster County, MS, and a resident of Eupora,MS. She was a homemaker and a member of Pine Forest Baptist Church at Stewart, MS.
She was survived by 4 daughters, Bonnie Boyd of Pine Hill, AL, Nancy Berryhill, Janie Woods,of Eupora,MS,and Amy Green of Leander, TX 4 sons, Danny Parsons of Natchez, MS, Dr. Morris Parsons of Mathiston, MS, Kimble Parsons of Flowood, MS,and Michael Parsons of Eupora,MS sister-in-law Christine May of Stewart, grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Charlie Hazzard, Dale May, D.L.May, Benny May, Phillip May, Steve May, and Kenny May.
