Mr. Rex May, 80, of Stewart, died of heart failure Feb. 6, 2001 at his residence in Stewart. He was a farmer.

He was a member of Pine Forest Baptist Church in Webster County and a World War II Army and Air Force veteran.

Funeral services were held Feb. 8 at Pine Forest Baptist Church. Burial was at Pine Forest Cemetery in Webster County with Rev. Walter Lee Yeager and Reb. Howard Davis officiating.

Mr. May is survived by his wife, Mrs. Christine Nolen May of Stewart; three daughters, June May Mitchell of Winona, Linda May Acy of Starkville, Joyce May Hudspeth of Mantee; four sons, Kenny May, Dale May, Myron May, all of Stewart, Stevie May of Eupora; two sisters, Augusta May Bridges, Ruth May Parsons, both of Eupora; 25 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Kenny Dale, Myron, Stevie May, Stan Acy, Keith Hudspeth, Dale Mitchell. Honorary pallbearers were Rex, Kevin, Derek and Austin May, Bryan Mitchell.

Oliver Funeral Home of Eupora was in charge of the arrangements.
