Succumbs to Heart
Attack
William Wallace McDonald, a life-long resident of Madison county, died at his home in Douglas township Monday, March 15, following a heart attack He was 67 years of age.
Mr. McDonald was born Oct. 20, 1886 He was married June 12, 1919, and was the father of two daughters and seven sons, all of whom survive. He was a son of William S. and Barbara E. Combs McDonald.
He was a member of the Masonic lodge.
In addition to his wife, Gladys M. McDonald, he leaves two daughters, Mrs. Barbara Corkrean of near Winterset and Mrs. Zola Haigh of Des Moines; the seven sons, Wayne and Harold McDonald of Winterset; Victor McDonald of St. Charles, and Leonard, Paul, James and Melvin McDonald, at home. He also leaves three sisters, Mrs. Mary Kitchell, Mrs. Corgie Bennett, and Mrs. Edna Clark.
He was preceded in death by four brothers, Luther, Robert, Tom and Earl McDonald, and a sister, Mrs. Lurie Leach.
Funeral services were held this Wednesday from the Richards Funeral home, conducted by the Rev. John Latta, pastor of the West Star church Burial was made in the McDonald Chase cemetery.
