Ida J. Kelley was born February 2, 1866 near Luray, Missouri, daughter of Hezikiah and Clarinda Swisher, and passed away at the home of Mrs. Anna Benda in Luray, April 23 at 4:15 p.m.

She was united in marriage to William Kelley November 20, 1884 near Pineville, Missouri. To this union were born 6 sons and 3 daughters, one son, Emery D. Kelley, one daughter, Maggie Herrick, also her husband who died October 22, 1918 and one sister preceded her in death.

Surviving are Luther L. Kelley of Ft. Madison, Iowa; Arthur E., Manila, Philippines; Jesse J. Junction City, Kansas; Alvin A. of Ft. Madison; Fred D. of Gary, Indiana; Anna Benda of Luray; Ruby Johnson of Oakwood, Missouri; also one brother James J. Swisher of Memphis, Missouri; 44 grandchildren and 46 great grandchildren, other relatives and a host of friends.

She was a member of the Methodist Church of Luray.

Funeral services were held Thursday morning at 10:30 from the Luray Methodist Church, conducted by the Rev. DeVold with burial in the Combs Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Eston Benda, Glen Benda, Stanley Johnson, Harold Johnson, Ellis Johnson, and Merl Kelley.
