Clarinda Anderson was born in Clark County, Missouri, January 8, 1845; died February 24, 1900. She was married to H. C. Swisher, September 17, 1863. Two sons and two daughters were born to them, all of whom survive their mother. She united with the Christian Church at Luray at the age of 23 years and lived a consistent christian life until death. The funeral services were conducted at the M. P. Church, Luray, February 26 by Rev. A. J. Williams, after which remains were laid to rest in the village cemetery.
