Rose Pearl Grannemann, nee Blackwell, 97, New Haven, passed away Wednesday, May 21, 2008, in New Haven. Mrs. Grannemann was born March 2, 1911, in Hayden, the daughter of Harvey L. Blackwell and wife Carrie, nee Snead. She received her education in Hayden. On Dec. 24, 1935, she was united in marriage to John Henry Grannemann. Mrs. Grannemann worked at Deb Shoe, International Shoe and Langenberg Hat Factory. She was a member of Memorial Baptist Church in New Haven. Mrs. Grannemann was preceded in death by her parents; her husband on June 9, 1973; two sons, Harvey William Grannemann in February 1976 and infant Winfred Vernon Grannemann on Nov. 5, 1936; and seven siblings, Margaret Branson, Monroe Blackwell, Melvin Blackwell, Chester Blackwell, Raymond Blackwell, Fern Starks and Robert Blackwell. She is survived by three sons, Norman Granneman and wife Orena, Springfield, Col. Rodney Grannemann, U.S. Army retired, and wife Janis, Pacific Grove, Calif., and Maynard Grannemann and wife Evelyn, Union; 10 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; other relatives and many friends. Funeral services were held Saturday, May 24, at Memorial Baptist Church, New Haven. The Rev. Joe Nogalski officiated. Burial was in New Haven City Cemetery, New Haven.
