Cordelia Jane Powers was the eldest child and first daughter of William Hardin Powers and his first wife, Anna (Walden) Powers, who were married 2 Aug 1887 in Meigs County, Tennessee. Her date of birth is given as 27 Aug 1888 on her grave stone. The date is given as 10 April 1889 on her TN state death certificate and Aug 1888 in the 1900 census enumeration.
